This superb brochure is the only one of its kind advertising all that Helensburgh has to offer- Its vast array of shops, eateries, local attractions and historical buildings along with places to stay.

Melanie for years now has campaigned tirelessly to bring Helensburgh back to the thriving town she grew up in. Amongst her credits are the "Unpresidented meeting of minds" as the local rag at the time stated in a front page special. Never before had a maximum 200 crowd poured into the towns Commodore hotel with such anticipation. This meeting in July 2007 sparked a wave of newly formed organisations to make a difference. Here are a few melanie was involved in:

  • In Novemer 2007 the newly formed Helensburgh and Lomond games was formed brought back to the town in 2008 with an almost 50 year abscence of which Melanie was a founding member.
  • In 2008 Helensburgh Heroes was formed ,a local charity trying to bring back the Arts,Museum and Heritage to the town of which Melanie was a founding Director.
  • In March 2009 Melanie designed, funded and marketed the Only Helensburgh brochure of its kind and single handedly delivers them herself to all the local tourist offices , hotels and major airports in Scotland.
  • In November 2009 Melanie organised one of the biggest Festivals Helensburgh has seen in The Xmas Lights Festival. This pulled in record numbers in its thousands.
  • Once again in 2010 the brochure was reprinted and funded etc along with Helensburghs own Calender with beautiful photographs captured by the towns Darrel hendrie. These are now sold out .
  • New for 2011 Melanie has commissioned a Scottish based company to design and produce for resale a bronze bust of Helensburghs most famous son John Logie Baird. These will be sold exclusively at Craigard and can be ordered in advance.
